Teal Wilson

Teal Wilson is an artist living and working in the Aspen/ Snowmass area, originally born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is a printmaker, illustrator, muralist, and often uses mixed media to enhance the two-dimensional plane.

This body of work manifested quickly in the wake of the world re-opening after lock down. In a short span of time, I experienced elation, death, grief, depression, regrowth, and re-socialization. I took My Little Pony on the journey with me. The ponies took on the challenges and beauties of life with stoic yet smiling faces.  They were teaching me how to cope. They have been my rock, my complete obsession. I depend on their childishly simplistic depictions of confidence and happiness as I explore what it means to live in this new world shaped by Covid and isolation.
